Mariaester Cassinelli


Mariaester Cassinelli is a researcher and project manager at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM), and a member of the “Fund-raising and Projects Office”. Since 2009 she is one of the project officers of the FEEM research programme on Climate Change and Sustainable Development.

Since 2013 she worked as a researcher, senior scientific manager and project manager at the  Economic analysis of Climate Impacts and Policy Division (ECIP) at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC).

Mariaester graduated in Environmental Sciences and in Sciences and Technologies for Environment and Land with honors, and completed a Master in Information Technologies for the New Economy at the Bicocca University of Milan.

Since 2007, she is the president of a no-profit association working to promote sustainable development through activities of environmental education. She loves dancing and acting, but also playing piano, writing, reading, playing various sports (swim, ski, tennis, horse riding).

Within COBHAM, she works as a senior scientific manager, supporting and contributing to the research activities of the project.
